Persistent in the 2011 US Spearfishing National Championship
On day one of the 2011 U.S. Spearfishing National Championship held in The Florida Keys, Team PERSISTENT took an early lead in the mixed team division as Rosibel Molina, and Adel Sotolongo Dominated their mixed team categories.Relying on their skills, and top of the line equipment, they were able to find an assortment of fish at various depths. Going into Day two, Adel was in the top ten in 9th place, and Rosibel in 14th place overall. An impressive feat as the field of competitors included Past national champions, world team members, and local commercial spearfishermen that are very familiar with the area.
On day two, the fish became even more scarce, but the PERSISTENT TEAM was able to hold on to win the U.S. Nationals spearfishing Championship Mixed Team Division. With an impressive catch of the very sought after Yellow jack species , Team PERSISTENT made their place in nationals History having Rosibel Molina Crowned the Womens National Champion. The Persistent Team rejoiced in their victory, receiving beautiful trophies and invitations to fish around the world.
